Book Title: Hey Whipple, Squeeze This: A Guide to Creating Great Advertising (6th Edition)
“Hey Whipple, Squeeze This” is the iconic guide to making great advertising, just released in an updated digitally-hip 6th edition. Author Luke Sullivan will be our guest, live on Zoom, to talk about his book and share a short presentation on how to make your creative suck less. This promises to be a master class in making great advertising. Q&A session to follow.
Luke Sullivan was in the advertising business for 33 years, all of them at A+ agencies, two of them perennial “Agency of the Year” winners from Adweek and Ad Age – Fallon Worldwide and The Martin Agency.
He's probably best known as the author of Hey Whipple, Squeeze This: The Classic Guide to Creating Great Advertising. The sixth edition released in February, 2022, it’s referred to as the Bible of advertising in about every third review on Amazon and was named to the Top Ten Marketing Books of All Time by an Ad Age poll.
Sullivan recently retired from ten years of teaching advertising at the Savannah College of Art & Design. He continues to offer a series of energetic presentations on a wide variety of subjects related to advertising, branding, and marketing.
Sullivan has spoken to audiences all over the U.S. including the SXSW Interactive Conference in Austin, as well as many in-person appearances overseas: Sydney, Berlin, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Auckland, Reykjavik and Istanbul.
