Cassie Mallette | UNO Program Manager for the AI Learning Lab and Senior Instructional Designer

Cassie is the Program Manager of the AI Learning Lab at UNO.  She leads campus-wide AI initiatives on campus, including creating micro credentials focused on upskilling faculty and staff with AI, working with faculty to incorporate AI into their courses, and guiding the university’s AI consortium. Cassie also enjoys partnering with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to deliver training and talks on AI.

Jodeane Brownlee | UNO School of Communication Professor and GM of MavRadio.FM

Jodeane Brownlee is a professor in the School of Communication at the University of Nebraska Omaha and the General Manager of MavRadio.FM, UNO’s award-winning student-run radio station. She teaches courses in audio storytelling, podcasting, photography, TV commercial production, and the Emerging Media Capstone, where students produce a weekly live newscast across multiple broadcast and digital platforms.

An active leader in media education, Brownlee has successfully integrated generative AI into her courses through university grants, equipping students with ethical frameworks and practical skills to use AI responsibly in journalism, podcasting, and digital storytelling. Under her mentorship, students have earned numerous regional broadcast journalism awards and gained recognition for their innovative multimedia projects.

Beyond the classroom, she serves on the Broadcast Education Association’s national leadership team as Faculty Audio Chair, advises Women in Media, and contributes to professional organizations including the Nebraska Broadcasters Association and the Knowledge Network Board of Directors. Through her teaching, service, and professional engagement, Brownlee bridges traditional media foundations with emerging technologies, preparing the next generation of communicators to adapt and lead in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

Tyler Reher | Appsky Chief Executive Officer

Tyler Reher is the CEO of Appsky and a key figure in Omaha's tech ecosystem. His expertise spans from entrepreneurship to developing new technologies for both startups and enterprise clients. He regularly shares his expertise through "Tech Office Hours" following Omaha's One Million Cups meetings, participating as a committee member of the AI Omaha meet up group, and being a speaker in other community events.

Jack Horgan | Koley Jessen Attorney

Jack Horgan is a shareholder at Koley Jessen. Jack’s practice focuses exclusively on advising clients on the commercialization and procurement of intellectual property and technology products. He routinely leads negotiations involving artificial intelligence services agreements, cloud computing agreements, outsourcing agreements, SaaS agreements, software license agreements, data license agreements, joint development agreements and information technology services agreements.
